- A two day conference on "Financing Natura 2000 - Investing in Europe's Green Infrastructures" Brussels, 15-16 July 2010. Specifically the conference aims to: demonstrate the importance of investment in the network with respect to the benefits; develop a range of recommendations for financing the Natura 2000 network; and explain the current level and destination of expenditure on Natura 2000. - 9 April 2010 The European Commission has published a Eurobarometer survey which shows that many Europeans do not understand what is meant by biodiversity and do not feel well informed about biodiversity loss. The Commission has at the same time launched a campaign aimed at informing the public about the loss of biodiversity in the EU. The campaign revolves around a slogan – "we are all in this together".
