• LIFE+ Information Sessions DG Environment is organising an information session (one in each of the member countries) in the context of the 2010 LIFE+ Call for Proposals. More details

• A two day conference on "Financing Natura 2000 - Investing in Europe's Green Infrastructures" Brussels, 15-16 July 2010. Specifically the conference aims to: demonstrate the importance of investment in the network with respect to the benefits; develop a range of recommendations for financing the Natura 2000 network; and explain the current level and destination of expenditure on Natura 2000. More info .

• Stakeholder Consultation on Post 2010 Biodiversity Strategy Call out to express interest in participating in stakeholder discussion on the development of a strategy for EU Biodiversity to 2020. Read More

• Forest protection and climate change: a public consultation was launched on the green paper on Forest Protection and Information in the EU: Preparing forests for climate change.

• 9 April 2010 The European Commission has published a Eurobarometer survey which shows that many Europeans do not understand what is meant by biodiversity and do not feel well informed about biodiversity loss. The Commission has at the same time launched a campaign aimed at informing the public about the loss of biodiversity in the EU. The campaign revolves around a slogan – "we are all in this together".
